FAQs
1. Who is behind prophecies.ca?
Prophesies.ca was started by a couple after having studied the teaching of cults for 20 years. The decades of study, research, visiting the major religions, speaking with thousands of people, they realized that most religions teach the Bible through the lens of a concept. What that means is they will adapt or twist texts and prophecies to support their concept.
Although there were many good Christians in each of these churches, there was rarely a Bible program that covered the Bible without religious bias. They concluded that the best way for someone to find truth was through the lens of Christ and prophecy. There were numerous reasons for that.
First, prophecy is neutral and non-aggressive. We understand the principle, but speculations are someone’s opinion. False prophets and cults used ambiguity to establish their truths. When we verified the major cults, mainstream Christianity, prophecy experts, no one came to the same conclusion, but many preached their interpretation dogmatically. As you will see yourself when you compare, some of these interpretations are dangerous to your faith. Therefore, this is a personal ministry directed to those looking for truth, tired of the prosperity gospel, looking to love God again after religious abuse, or wanting to share hope in a world headed for destruction or understand the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
What do we think of the USA, secret societies, world governments, or international organizations that are supposedly trying to take over the world?
People who ask that question must realize that for Christians, invisible powers are leading the world, not Christ. We believe what Jesus said that the Prince of this world is Satan the devil, and the Devil offered the kingdoms of the world to Jesus on the mountain. Therefore, the Devil rules the earthly sphere already, whether through secret societies, governments, the economy, or other means. The Chrisitan’s mandate is to be no part of the world, while having to live, work, and exist in world alienated from God. Evidently, the world will be dominated by God’s adversary, and we will have to choose who we worship.
Haggai 2:7 states that God will shake the nations and Dan. 2:44 mentions God will destroy all kingdoms. This includes the USA and Canada. As in the past, the Creator can use world powers to accomplish His works, such as He did with Assyria, Babylon, and Cyrus the Persian, without being in a Covenant with them. The free lands of North America permitted the printing of Bibles, sending out missionaries to preach the Gospel and Christ, and advance Bible knowledge as in no other era and country. However, no Covenant has ever been spoken of by God concerning the USA.
As Christians we are to respect governments according to Romans 13;1 if the governments do not ask us to compromise our faith Acts 5:28-29.
what is the mission of prophecies.ca?
Because prophecy touches so many angles of spirituality we would like to teach and train people to teach others the basics of Bible prophecy without religious propaganda and allow people to use their own conscience when they learn the facts and principles of prophecy. People will arrive at the correct conclusion when the material is taught honestly.
Has the Bible been tampered with?
The answer to the question is difficult because the answer is yes and no depending on how you interpret the question. If the question is “do we think that the Bible is God’s inspired word, the answer is unequivocally yes.
Why do we give both sides of a belief, a doctrine, or a principle?
The reason is simple. When looking for truth thinking people want all sides of the story to make their own decision. We do not have a concept to defend but only the Bible`s truth to share and defend. If prophecy contradicts our beliefs, the prudent step is to make sure we hold the truth.
Apologetics are also slanted often. Most have a preconceived idea or bias and will preach an angle all text to that bias for that doctor. Often the doctrine is not exact or presented exactly the way it should be. The Bible says to love God with your whole heart your whole mind and your whole heart not someone else’s. As many know, giving half the story is sometimes more dangerouos then not having any story. We have nothing to hide, nothing to defend only Christ and the Bible. We let the chips fall where they may, and no one pays our salary.
What is our statement of faith?
As with the nicene creed we believe in the creator that has made heaven and earth visible and invisible, Christ son of God who has redeemed those who exercise faith in him their sins, he died for our sins that was three days in 80s help or earth whichever one you want, rose, is now at the right end of God, the Holy Spirit which directs our work, his imminent return, and a cleansed earth.
I believe the Bible is the only inspired word of God, we answer to Christ only, and there will be a resurrection.
Why do we not use speculation in Bible prophecy?
