Why This Exists

There are already thousands of voices teaching Bible prophecy.
So why add another? The answer is found in the journey that brought us here. How we got here For decades, my wife and I lived within a high-control religious environment where questioning, personal conviction, and independent thought were discouraged and even punished. After leaving, we studied prophecy from a wide range of sources: churches, teachers, academics, and experts. Many had experienced similar confusion and raised a simple question: Why does the same Bible text produce such different interpretations, outcomes, confusion, and debates? Over the following decades, What became clear was not only that conclusions differed, but also that starting points and goals differed. The shift in approach This led us to reconsider how prophecy is commonly read and taught. Instead of beginning with interpretive systems and making the text fit them, we began focusing on the Bible’s own internal narrative from Genesis to Revelation. From this came two guiding ideas (explained deeper on their menus):
A simple aim: clarity, coherence, context This work is not about denigrating anyone’s work. We met people in many Christian settings whom we genuinely recognized as followers of Christ because they were Christ-centered, despite doctrinal differences. We also spent extended time in various contexts to understand their approach to prophecy in depth. It is about reading Scripture in a way that allows it to speak for itself. Through clarity, coherence, and context, the Bible emerges as a heritage and a treasure. Prophecy forms the backbone of Scripture; without it, the unfolding story of God's character, His purposes, and Christ's role in heaven and on earth cannot be fully understood. © Prophecies.ca

God’s Majesty and Our Limits
The more we studied and learned, the more we came to appreciate the grandeur of the Lord and the limits of our own understanding. Why? If the nations of the earth are dust on a scale before God (Isaiah 40:15–22), how much can we truly know about Him apart from what He has chosen to reveal? How dogmatic can we be about some prophecies that have few details. This realization fosters humility, caution, and a deeper willingness to let Scripture speak for itself especially when Scripture is not entirely clear. Where God has not spoken explicitly, care and humility are needed in drawing conclusions. |
